Connecting: Small Groups Don't Know Which Way to Go? Small Groups provide an excellent place to get your bearings. Like to have a family close by? Small Groups Are The Place !!! Why Small Groups ? " Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people." Acts 2:46-47 Whether you are new in the faith, seeking to know more about faith in Jesus, or you have been on your spiritual journey for a long time, Small Groups provide a way for you to get to know others who can help you. We all need other people to encourage us to grow, to overcome, and to succeed in our lives. Being involved in a Small Group will help you to make significant strides in your life. In today's stressful, hectic world people need a place to connect with others, a place to know more than someone's name. Small Groups at Lakeshore are a place where YOU can build meaningful friendships, while learning more about yourself and God. Small Groups are an intentional, face-to-face gathering of 3 to 12 people on a regular time schedule with the common purpose of discovering and growing in the possibilities of the abundant life in Christ. Each Small Group facilitator has participated in model group training exercises and is prepared to guide group members in times of sharing, study, reflection, and prayer. Group members will agree upon topics to be studied, length of meetings, and other information.
